Evil surrounds us
In the form of guns.
Used by the maladjusted,
Enabled by those
Who feel their rights supersede
Victims sleeping, studying, listening, worshipping:
Caught of guard.
Act of cowardice
Mute until the perpetrator pulls a trigger.
Afraid to speak
Words hurt but do not kill.
Unable to look at the picture of the three shining young men
Murdered for no reason.
Shaking with grief and rage.
Please--stricter laws and enforcement.
Cease the murder
For which you are responsible, culpable.
